Below are a few highlights from our annual week residency at the lovely Bandstand in Eastbourne.
We love playing at this fantastic Art Deco venue with the impressive building and auditorium built in 1935. It is currently under renovation but still allows great performances. Sea breezes and seagull calls can make the performances very interactive and challenging!
Here you see our opening performance on Sunday afternoon, a snapshot of the Wednesday evening fireworks concert where we are playing the '1812' Overture by Tchaikovsky and finally our Thursday night Dance Band feature with our own Jenny on vocals.
Karen Warner, our principal flautist, performs the beautiful 'Home Away From Home' melody with aplomb and panache, always an audience favourite.
This year we were also proud to see members of the Eastbourne RNLI team joining us for the Fireworks night concert and helping to raise funds for the RNLI. Here are some members of the team with our Musical Director Captain David Cole OBE MVO.
This is also the week when the band sections get to take some new photos as a keepsake.
It's also the chance to have a bit of fun with the annual band dinner, early morning swims, and the annual crazy golf tournament!
And of course we always enjoy it when the children get involved.
